Program Modules

This program is delivered 100% online and self-paced, providing you with complete flexibility in your learning journey. You'll have access to six structured modules hosted in Canvas, our user-friendly online learning platform. The program is designed with your busy schedule in mind, allowing you to learn at your own pace while maintaining access to all materials and recordings for six months after registration

Learn how to create sustainable business plans informed by market research and trends in California and Santa Barbara County. Includes drafting vision and mission statements, using SWOT analysis, and defining competitive advantages.

 

2. Financial Management Essentials – Keeping Your Business Sustainable

Develop skills in budgeting, bookkeeping, and cash flow management. Learn how to navigate government subsidies, grants, and assistance programs like Alternative Payment Plans (APP).

 

3. Branding and Marketing – Standing Out in the Childcare Industry

Build a strong brand, enhance your online presence, and learn ethical, compliant marketing practices. Explore strategies for building trust and relationships with parents and employers in your community.

 

4. Human Resources and Operations – Building a Thriving Workplace

Gain tools for hiring, retaining, and supporting staff. Address workload and burnout challenges, while using cost-effective technologies to streamline enrollment, attendance, and operations.

 

5. Compliance and Risk Management – Staying Legally Sound

Understand local, state, and federal regulations. Learn about Title 22 licensing, health and safety codes, liability management, and tax obligations.
